4 Week Program: Sober October
Begins on October 4th, 2022.
This program plays on the theme of getting sober for the month. While most people think of alcohol, this program is about getting sober from anything. Social media, sugar, shopping, relationships. Whatever habits or self soothing techniques you use when bored, sad, angry, frustrated or confused on what you are actually feeling at all.
Really, we are becoming aware. While we will do our best to abstain from whatever habit is harming us, what this is really about is just becoming more aware of how we cope. Can we lengthen the amount of time between our reactivity and an action? Can we observe in our bodies what sensations are coming up?
What’s included:
Weekly sessions (every Tuesday for the month of October) live on zoom at 8:00pm PST (sessions recorded to watch if you cannot attend)
75 minutes of breath, movement, music and meditation
Questions and practical tools for becoming more mindful (talks, videos, readings and more)
Discussions and breakout groups
Community and connection
